Through Barry, Hare shows not just defilement in the police power, as prove by Barry planting the Semtex, yet in addition recommends that the police were exhausted and under planned, â€Å"too much overtime†. Here, Hare shows the polarity of compassion toward the police close by defilement, as he demonstrates Barry to be attempting to do is work in troublesome occasions, notwithstanding, the larger job of Barry is to show debasement and impropriety in policing. All through the play, Hare shows the impact of the 1984 Criminal Evidence Act, expected to make policing increasingly about desk work, and shows how the police feel it is subverting their activity; â€Å"we should all simply sit in the scratch and make strategy drafts† features how this has changed the idea of arrangement. Barry is introduced as against this, and keeps on utilizing more seasoned techniques for policing, â€Å"It’ my strategy. † Through this, Hare depicts police defilement, as Barry’s techniques are regularly indecent and even illicit. Rabbit additionally presents Barry to consider some to be as â€Å"boring† and â€Å"pointless†, which recommends he is just keen on violations he can get a decent outcome for, for example, cutting down Travis and Fielding in Gerard McKinnon’s wrongdoing. Bunny likewise shows Barry to think police assets are squandered by saying â€Å"and yet take a gander at us†, featuring his own disappointment as again appeared by â€Å"please let me know, what is the point? † Interest, Barry apparently has indistinguishable view of legal counselors from the crowd have through Sir Peter, proposing they are â€Å"rich bastards† who take an interest in â€Å"tax evasion†. It could then be contended that Barry feels advocated in his defilement, as the legislature is additionally degenerate, â€Å"the government joyfully lets rich mongrels leave with†. â€Å"You used to be smart† recommends Barry wasn’t constantly degenerate, which again proposes his activities are because of his disappointment at the equity framework. The connection among Barry and Sandra gives the crowd knowledge into both Barry’s character and emotions towards ladies at that point. In spite of the fact that there is a distinction in rank between the pair, DC to PC, Barry is never appeared to treat men in a lesser situation with the equivalent disparaging way he utilizes towards Sandra. Here, Hare depicts sexism inside the police at that point, which is facilitated by Sandra and Barry’s issue, as it could be contended that Sandra is characteristically ‘sleeping her way to the top’. Rabbit shows Barry to â€Å"get a kick out of secrecy†, which is in reference to his undertaking but at the same time is prove in his debasement, as nobody else is depicted as such. The way that Barry is demonstrated to be â€Å"relieved at the difference in subject† from his debasement could propose that he is embarrassed, as he is â€Å"able to relax† once they are examining something different. In any case, Barry’s absence of individual ethics as featured in his relationship with Sandra, â€Å"I hung tight for you†¦I had a rugby match†, which proposes a general dismissal could be utilized to contend that Barry undoubtedly is uninterested about having planted the Semtex. This portrayal of the police as wild and unethical recommends Hare sees the police in a negative light as they would permit guiltless men to go to jail, as appeared by Gerard. This was without a doubt impacted by prominent cases, for example, the Guilford Four or the Birmingham Six, where men were treacherously sent down for bombings. I did my stunt. It generally works† recommends the degree of Barry debasement, inferring he has encircled individuals previously, however more significantly, he realizes he can pull off it, through which Hare shows the risks of shamelessness in the police. â€Å"You ought to go on Mastermind† in reference to Barry shows that he is a regarded figu re in among the officials, with which Hare could recommend that Barry was in a situation to spread defilement all through the power, as he is appreciated by the lower positions. Prior, Barry is likewise introduced as a feature of the ‘boys club’, as Hare shows chat between the male officials, â€Å"I was directing an interview†¦ with the barmaid†¦ horizontally†, proposing that Barry is one of the ‘lads’. Progressively, Barry is introduced as a misanthrope and a bigot all through the play, towards Sandra as well as towards Irina and Gerard. This demeanor is appeared through the discourse among Barry and Irina on pg101; â€Å"I don’t take lectures† towards Irina proposes he considers her to be underneath him. In any case, Hare additionally utilizes this scene to fortify the introduction of Barry’s despising towards legal counselors, as appeared by â€Å"when was the last time anybody was wiped out on your wig†, which proposes Barry considers attorneys to be withdrawn from the genuine activity of equity. This is advanced by â€Å"why don’t you go sit on a board of trustees, unexpected as Irina does precisely that toward the finish of the play, which demonstrates Barry to accept legal counselors to be bossy, and â€Å"something-must-be-done’rs†, as Beckett portrays them, in any case to be pointless. Toward the finish of the play, as prior referenced, Irina chooses to attempt to change the equity framework; conversely, Barry is introduced as precisely the equivalent, as he is as yet disappointed at the framework, â€Å"if they invested a large portion of the energy attempting to help the coppers†. In the prior scene, Hare depicts Jimmy as out of the club, which is featured by Barry saying â€Å"English feeling of humour†, again demonstrating Barry to be a piece of an extremely, male ruled framework. Rabbit additionally presents Barry as calmly supremacist here, as there is no proof that Jimmy isn't English, a demeanor which is likewise appeared by Barry towards Gerard, â€Å"he was somewhat Irish†, a reference to the negative perspective on the Irish at the time because of the IRA. This likewise demonstrates the framework to be coolly supremacist, as we see that in light of the fact that Gerard is Irish, it is significantly more conceivable that he would plant explosives. Bunny demonstrates this to not be right through his depiction of Gerard, who is enormously not the same as the generalization of a lawbreaker. To a lesser degree, police defilement is likewise appeared by Barry’s treatment of Keith, as Barry is proposed to have â€Å"promised him a caution† recommending Barry was utilizing pay off to get Keith to coordinate. In general, in spite of the recommendation of compassion toward Barry as somebody attempting to make a troublesome showing, Barry is to a great extent introduced as everything Hare hates about the police, as he is demonstrated to be supremacist, degenerate, improper and misanthropic. Bunny utilizes Barry for instance of more extensive police defilement, recommending that Barry isn’t a segregated case yet the entire framework is degenerate. Barry is compared against Sandra who is demonstrated to be faithful and ready to have any kind of effect. In any case, Hare presents all characters attempting to improve the framework as secluded and seen as substandard, as appeared with Irina, while Barry is appeared as ‘one of the boys’, by and large proposing that individuals like Barry will at last proceed with â€Å"their method† while Sandra and such will neglect to have any kind of effect. This portrayal is demonstrated to be the well used result for Hare, who is a supporter of progress however this speaks to the truth of policing at that point.

The good news is that identifying the root cause of low libido can lead to effective treatment options. It is not unusual for couples to have a disparity in their sex drives. More often than not, in a heterosexual relationship, its the woman who has the lower libido, according to research published by the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). This can be distressing for both partners and even put the relationship at risk if it cant be resolved. Verywell / Brianna Gilmartin Symptoms The medical term for low libido and lack of interest in sex is hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD), though there is some debate as to whether or not a womans lack of sex drive should be viewed as a disorder. Research has found that the female libido differs from that of men and that women naturally have a lower libido and think about sex less often than men. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) used by mental health professionals, the lack of desire would have to rise to the level where it causes the woman significant distress, where it affects her relationships or self-esteem, for six months or more.?? Some of the symptoms of HSDD include:?? Lack of interest in sexual activity  Non-existent  sexual thoughts or fantasiesDisinterest in initiating sex  Difficulty obtaining pleasure from sex  or genital stimulation Causes It is important to note that some fluctuations in sexual desire are natural and healthy. There are many other factors that can reduce sexual desire, for which they wouldnt qualify as HSDD per se. To rule out HSDD, work with your doctor to identify any potential causes, as well as treatment options. Since there are no specific medical tests that can diagnose HSDD, your doctor will want to know about your symptoms to understand more about how your low sex drive is impacting your relationships and life. Medical Factors In some cases, an underlying medical condition may be behind a low libido. The following conditions and medications can potentially lower sex drive: Injury to blood vessels or nerves after a hysterectomy or other surgery involving the reproductive organs??Chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, arthritis, anemia, cardiovascular disease, or endocrine or neurological disorders??Chronic or physical pain, which may be associated with a medical conditionDepression and anxiety disorders??Antidepressants??Blood pressure medications??IncontinenceBeing overweight or obese??Hormone deficiency, hormonal fluctuations, or low levels of testosterone??Diminished blood flow to the vagina and uterus??Conditions, such as vulvodynia, that make sex painful??Menopause, pregnancy, or breastfeeding?? In cases where medications, such as antidepressants, cause a lowered sex drive, your doctor may suggest a prescription with fewer side effects. Do not stop taking your medications without your doctor’s approval. Personal Factors Daily life stresses can have an impact on your libido. Many women, for example, have a lower desire for sex after they have children due to being extra-busy and fatigued, or because they become focused more on their children than the marriage. If your body has changed over time or after giving birth, that can also take a toll. Work stress can negatively affect your libido as well, especially when having to care for a family. By the end of the day, sleep becomes the priority, not sex. And if you are dealing with your stress by smoking and drinking more alcohol than usual or using other substancesâ€"prescription or otherwiseâ€"your libido will likely suffer as a result. Relationship-Based Factors One of the strongest factors impacting a womans drive is the quality of her relationship and emotional connection to her sexual partner.?? Problems that may interfere with your sex life include: Long-standing unresolved relationship issues and resentmentA desire to punish or control your husband by withholding sexInfidelityPower imbalances in the relationship Treatment of Low Libido in Women Once you have identified the issues that are contributing to your low libido, you can begin treatment. The following two columns provide the types of interventions your doctor may recommend or prescribe to increase your libido: Non-Pharmacologic Stress reduction Behavioral therapy Altering bad habits Exercise Weight loss Marriage counseling Individual therapy Better communication with spouse Pharmacologic Eros-CTD device O-Shot Addyi (flibanserin) Testosterone cream Estrogen patch or pills Vaginal lubricants Therapy and Lifestyle Changes If the problems are identified to be stress- or relationship-based, there are several approaches that may help. Your doctor may suggest counseling to devise a plan (ideally with your partner involved in the process) to overcome any issues that may be affecting your relationship. This is where its vital that you and your partner work as a team with a therapist to resolve any potential issues. A therapist can help teach you how to better communicate with your partner and suggest sexual techniques right for your relationship to create a more pleasurable experience. Lifestyle changes such as exercising regularly, using mindfulness-based interventions, avoiding tobacco and alcohol, and setting aside time for intimacy or sexual experimentation (using sex toys, new positions or role-playing) can all help alleviate stress and improve libido. The 6 Best Online Marriage Counseling Programs Medical Interventions A low sex drive can also be treated with medications, though, unfortunately, medical interventions for women have not been as successful as they have been for men. Due to a reduction of blood flow to the vagina, many premenopausal and postmenopausal women undergo changes in estrogen levels. If low estrogen levels are the cause of your HSDD symptoms, then your doctor may recommend estrogen therapy?? using a cream, suppository, or ring that releases estrogen in the vagina without the unwanted side effects that come with estrogen pills. An injection called the O-Shot, a plasma solution that is injected by a medical professional into the vagina, also works to improve blood flow and circulation. The procedure is still new and has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Eros clitoral therapy device, or Eros-CTD, is a small, hand-held device fitted with a removable, replaceable small plastic cup used to improve blood flow to the clitoris and genitalia using a vacuum system. Eros Therapy was cleared by the FDA in April 2000 to treat sexual arousal and orgasmic disorders. The device comes with a cost of about $400 and a prescription is required in the United States. Another treatment option is a pill called Addyi (flibanserin), which is an oral prescription drug that works on brain chemicals to increase desire.?? However, the drug does come with some potential side effects, including low blood pressure, fainting, and dizziness. What to Do If Your Partner Is Uninterested in Sex

Summary Of 12 Angry Men By Reginald Rose - 1681 Words

Joshua Bennett American Literature 7-27-14 12 Angry Men by Reginald Rose Plot Development of Act 1 In Act 1 of 12 Angry Men, all the jurors were introduced and the trial was revealed to us. There were twelve jurors that were trying a teenage boy who was accused of murdering his father. The scene was set in a jury room in the New York City Court of Law on a hot summer day in 1957. Before the voting started, the judge stated that for the boy to be found guilty and receive the death penalty, there must be a unanimous vote for guilty. The Foreman of the jury took the first vote and all but one voted for guilty, the eighth juror. After the vote, the other jurors were frustrated that this one person did not vote guilty. When the eighth juror explains why he voted not guilty, all the other jurors agreed to explain why they voted guilty. As they went along, they all had the same story that was based off of no evidence except for the prejudice testimonies and their own personal feelings. For example, the third juror who had a son said, â€Å"When he was nine he ran away from a fight. I saw him. I was so ashamed I almost threw up... When he was sixteen we had a battle. He hit me in the face. He’s big, y’know. I haven’t seen him in years. Rotten kid.† (Third Juror, pg. 18). As the trial moved on, more and more jurors changed their mind and realized that the eighth juror was right and the evidence that the jurors are going off of lead them to have a reasonable doubt. For example, theShow MoreRelatedJuror Eight In Twelve Angry Men By Reginald Rose776 Words   |  4 PagesPicture a room with a large table in the center. There is a door, but it is locked. The United States And The Mexican War - 867 Words

In 1846 to 1848, the United States and Mexico fought against each other in the Mexican-American War. The reason Americans desired westward expansion was because of manifest destiny. Manifest destiny was the belief that westward expansion which was supposedly part of God’s plan to extend the U.S. territory to the pacific (The Mexican War). Goodnight Mr.Tom Review Free Essays

Review of Goodnight Mr. Tom by Michelle Magorian Goodnight Mr. Tom is set in the midst of World War II and the German attacks of London. We will write a custom essay sample on Goodnight Mr.Tom Review or any similar topic only for you Order Now In the novel many children are sent away from England? s capital onto pacific places for protection. These children are called refugees and they are to stay in the houses of the inhabitants. This is then, the destiny of little William Beech who is sent to Little Wierwold to Tom Oakley, the man who shelters him. The child was being abused by his mother so he is very shy. Therefore, Mr. Oakley helps him confront his problems and Willie drastically changes. He starts to make friends like Zacharias Wrench, or Zach for short. They become best friends and have marvelous moments together. Afterwards, Williams’s mother asks for him to go back to London as she is sick. Beech? s mother really is insane and when they enter the house she says she has a surprise. The surprise was that Mrs. Beech has had a baby. He actually returns to the nightmare he lived before being a refugee, so Mr. Oakley foresees that Willie is passing a terrible time and rescues him from the tiny room in which Mrs. Beech has locked him up. Mr. Tom immediately buys train tickets for Little Wierwold and so, they returned to their home in this little town. Months later, Mrs. Beech commits suicide as a result of her loneliness and Mr. Tom caringly adopts William. The story ends when William? s best friend Zach dies because of a bomb. Will then confronts his friend? s death having both good and bad experiences, which helps him grow physically and mentally. The main characters of this novel are William Beech, Tom Oakley, Zacharias Wrench and Mrs. Beech. William Beech, at the beginning of the story is an apprehensive, emaciated boy who does not have any self-confidence and is very mistrusting. Although he is very different on the inside, Will founds this throughout the book. When Willie starts his life with Mr. Tom, he changes abruptly and transforms into a talkative and active little boy. He also discovers he is an excellent artist and makes drawing his favorite hobby. What I really appreciate about this character is that he emerged from being a shy child to a talkative one who loves socializing with others around him. Tom Oakley is also a very important character in this novel. Mr. Tom is at first a grouchy old man who is immerged in the four walls of his house but when Willie arrives to his life he transforms into a social, caring and loving man who supports Will in everything he needs. Tom was very depressed because his wife had died giving birth and soon after his son, William, also died. At first Mr. Oakley took this as a coincidence, assuming William was a common name in London. Although as the months went by he realizes it this is not just a coincidence but something much deeper. Fate had brought them together so that both Tom and Willie could cure the injuries and pains they had been absorbing and keeping inside themselves. Another very important and special character is Zacharias Wrench â€Å"Zack for short† as he says in the novel. This character is a boy about the same age as Willie, who is a very swinging boy who likes talking to everybody. As soon he sees someone nice he immediately approaches to the person and starts talking to it as if he knows it for a long time. Zach becomes Willie? s best friend and because of him William lets â€Å"escape the Zach from him†. Goodnight Mr. Tom is definitely an incredible story. I enjoyed it so much that I have read it two times. My favorite moment on the novel is the end because Willie has improved amazingly and says to Mr. Tom who is now his dad: â€Å"Dad, I? ve grown†. I find this particular moment very emotive because despite all the challenges he has faced, he moves on with an amazing courage. I can definitively recommend this book to both adults and children (11 years +) as it makes you reflect a lot and it’s a very deep novel. I would also love to read another book by Michelle Magorian because she is a very good writer. How to cite Goodnight Mr.Tom Review, Essay examples

Target Market Alternatives For Zest Sedan †Myassignmenthelp.Com

Question: Discuss About The Target Market Alternatives For Zest Sedan? Answer: Introduction The research paper discusses the marketing research conducted by the business organization named Tata Motors to target specific market segments consisting of customers and manage the delivery of their new product. Tata Motors unveils the new Zest sedan for the customers of the middle segment because it is neither a hatchback nor a big sized car and can serve the customers well. It is a new entry in the mid-sized car segments, and Tata Motors has created an aggressive launch strategy after conducting a marketing research. The car has a new design, and it has been combined with the designs of cars manufactured in UK and Italy. The car consists of projector headlamps, LED tail lights and an advanced HARMAN music and infotainment system that will definitely influence the buying behaviours of customers and keep them satisfied too (Armstrong et al. 2015). The marketing research will include the various information about the target market alternatives, ways of defining a population, define a proper sampling frame to conduct research on the Zest Sedan and bring out positive outcomes in the end (Tatamotors.com 2017). A discussion of the target market alternatives for the Zest sedan Tata Motors has followed an effective launching strategy after the marketing research has been conducted to make sure that the new Zest compact sedan is launched properly in the market. The targeted market here has been the customers who are neither satisfied with the hatchbacks nor with the big sized cars. They want something new with the most advanced features at a reasonable price (Babin and Zikmund 2015). The company thus unveiled the new Zest sedan that has several features, which can make it stand out among the other cars in the same price range. There are many features such as projector headlamps, LED Tail lamps, seating arrangement for more people than a hatchback can occupy. The excellent HARMAN infotainment system is also present in the car that provides convenience to the user to enjoy music, manage navigation, infotainment and other services like driver assistance (Tatamotors.com 2017). The Zest sedan has been targeted for the new customers all over the world, and it is a great approach made by the organisation to manage a strategic shift towards a global portfolio with ease and effectiveness. The target market consists of young customers who want something new and astonishing and full of features within a reasonable price. Tata Motors has conducted the market research, because the offerings made by customers are not dependent upon the time after the car has been launched, rather is based on the conditions of market segments and market dynamics (Burns and Bush 2013). The market alternatives include the young customers as well as family persons who want something that is safe and offers better reliability and comfort while travelling. The Zest sedan is one the best-midsized car with a 1.2 Revotron engine and is made of high strength steel that makes it quite safe and secure during crashes and thus has been preferred by many customers (Chatterjee 2015). Tata Motors has always been a more profound company that delivers new vehicles from time to time, and it has been a major approach taken by the company every year. The Zest was launched a few years back, and it managed to grab a lot of market segments, though it did not become successful as it was expected to be. So, to provide the customers with better features and more space for seating, new segment leading features have been enabled including dual Airbags, Advanced braking system or ABS, rear parking sensors, LED Headlamps and tail lights, HARMAN infotainment system and many others (Dawar and Arora 2016). The company has gained a good foothold in Australia and has even considered their new launch as a global vehicle. Tata Motors has targeted the middle-class people who want a stylish, feature packed compact sedan at reasonable prices and the new launch can surely make a positive mark in the competitive business environment (Gerlach and Witt 2012). A discussion of the alternative ways of defining the Population for a research study on the Zest sedan There are various ways of defining a proper sampling frame and determine the size of the sample. The non-probability sampling technique is useful for determining the right sample through consideration of the feedbacks of managers and leaders of the organisation and then conducts a market research to enter new markets and remains successful globally. Both the probability and non-probability sampling approaches are effective for defining the population and make sure that data and information are collected from them to conduct the marketing research with ease and efficiency (Hair Jr and Lukas 2014). The probability sampling technique allows for utilising the various forms of randomly selecting the respondents and it is important to set up processes and ensure that all the units have equal opportunities to take participation in the sampling process. Computer systems are used for selecting the samples randomly and gain a good amount of responses from the customers regarding their needs an d requirements and whether those would be met with the buying of ne Zest sedan delivered by Tata Motors (Hair et al. 2012). The random sampling method is a part of the probability sampling approach whereas the non-probability sampling approach includes the purposive and convenient sampling methods. The purposive sampling method is managed by keeping the sampling methods purposive in nature, and the sampling problems can be approached with the help of a particular plan and even keep the individuals know about the marketing research topic. It is important to manage the purposive sampling by making sure that the respondents meet the criteria of being a part of the process of sampling (Malhotra, Birks and Wills 2013). The purposive sampling used by Tata Motors in Australia has helped in reaching the targeted sample within very less time, and the sampling for proportionality has not been considered here. The opinions and responses provided by the customers, who have been selected as samples for the marketing research have been obtained quite easily with the help of purposive sampling technique and is much conv enient to access and manage the data and information (Nielsen and Wilhite 2015). The convenient sampling approach enables conducting interviews with the higher officials of the company such as managers or leaders and even conducts interviews in a consistent manner by television news programs for obtaining a quick response and unbiased public opinions too. It is important to determine at first whether the samples would be available or not because the convenient sampling approach had been beneficial for gathering qualitative data mostly (Sinha 2016). As the managers and leaders might not always be available to provide their responses during the marketing research context, it is essential for the researchers to make sure that a suitable time is provided to them when they can be part of the interview to deliver their valuable ideas and opinions (Tatamotors.com 2017). By gathering the samples through non-probability convenient sampling approach, researchers would be able to know the actual purpose of unveiling the new Zest sedan and what the target market had been for Tata Motors (Takeyasu 2013). A discussion of the alternative ways of defining the Sampling Frame for the research on the Zest sedan The sampling frame is created to find out the source material, from which the samples are drawn, i.e., the customers are targeted. The sampling frame would consist of the various individuals within a population who could be taken as samples for researching the newly launched Zest sedan. The sampling frame is created by defining the population, subject and number of samples. During the first step of sampling, the customers are provided with survey questionnaires regarding the launch of the new Zest sedan and assessing their reviews regarding their satisfaction (Vakhariya 2017). The managers of Tata Motors were also called in for the interviews with the help of convenient sampling method for gathering their responses and furthermore determine the actual reasons and benefits that can be obtained by the company soon after the launch of new Zest sedan. 100 people from different market segments have been selected as samples for conducting the research and make sure that the conditions of t he various market segments are understood properly. Among these 100 respondents, 10 are the managers who have provided their responses and opinions regarding the launch of their new product without any bias (Wilson et al. 2012). The research site consisted of 10 managers of Tata Motors from various parts of the world according to their nature of work. For conducting the research and develop a proper sampling frame, diversified professionals are considered such as individuals belonging from departments of marketing, operations, procurement, environmental health and safety, logistics and distribution, etc. (Armstrong et al. 2015). A discussion of the alternative ways of defining the sampling approach for the research on the Zest sedan There are two sampling approaches including the probability and non-probability sampling approaches. The probability sampling approach consists of a random selection of participants while the non-probability sampling approach includes the purposive and convenient sampling techniques. However, the company has considered the non-probability sampling approach as effective to obtain the important data in the form of responses from the managers, which is another alternative way of defining the sampling approach (Babin and Zikmund 2015). The purposive sampling approach is managed with the consideration of actual purpose in mind and understand the specific group of individuals that will be taken into consideration while conducting the research efficiently (Belk, Fischer and Kozinets 2012). The purposive sampling approach allows the company officials to seek the purpose of conducting the research and determine the size of the sample prior to the determining of feedbacks and responses of customers who have either bought or are willing to buy the new Zest sedan offered by Tata Motors (Burns and Bush 2013). The respondents could easily meet the criteria of being considered as a sample, and the purposive sampling is also useful for reaching a targeted sample, i.e., 90 customers within less time, though not focusing on the sampling for proportionality. This would help Tata Motors to gain the important responses of the targeted population and then conduct a market research for determining whether the newly launched Zest seda n would be able to succeed and emerge as a winner within the competitive business environment or not (Chatterjee 2015). Explain why the approach expressed in the earlier sections will deliver an effective research outcome All the approaches for developing a sampling frame have been beneficial because it has not only helped the company to obtain responses and opinions of customers regarding the launch of the new Zest sedan. By considering their opinions and responses, it will be easy for the company to make sure that all[ the needs and requirements of the customer are fulfilled, and they are kept satisfied by delivering a great vehicle at a much reasonable price range. For example, the new Zest sedan that will be launched all over the world and even in Australia will have better safety level to be maintained (Dawar and Arora 2016). Tata Motors has introduced by the vehicle according to the Horizonext themes considering intense product focus, world class manufacturing quality, enriched experiences of purchasers and consistent quality of services offered to the customers. The journal articles can be presented to the group meetings and collect relevant information and data regarding the launch of the new vehicle and which are the targeted markets that have been targeted. This would help the company owners to make necessary changes and improvements to the vehicle and furthermore ensure that the needs and preferences of customers are kept fulfilled (Gerlach and Witt 2012). The sample size is thus chosen as 100 where 90 are the respondents from whom quantitative data has been collected, and the remaining 10 are the managers or leaders from whom qualitative data are gathered. All these outcomes derived from the marketing research would not only help to ensure the successful launching of the new Zest sedan but would also be able to influence the buying behaviours of customers largely (Tatamotors.com 2017). Conclusion The marketing research had been conducted based on the various data and information obtained from the article Tata Motors unveils new Zest sedan". The topic discussed the target market alternatives for the newly launched car and even defined the population by developing a proper sampling frame for the research on Zest sedan. The alternative ways or approaches for defining the sampling frame and conduct a marketing research on the Zest sedan had been illustrated here too along with the effective research outcomes that had been delivered in the end. How to Make an Outline For an Essay Sample

How to Make an Outline For an Essay SampleIf you are one of those people who are wondering how to make an outline for an essay sample then you are not alone. Many students spend a lot of time writing essays and have little time to review them before submitting them. This is why it is important to have an outline to follow when writing your own essay.A good idea would be to write all the facts that you will need on your essay. Use bullet points or a numbered list to point out the major points of your paper. Remember that when it comes to writing an essay, your words have to be compelling enough to move on to the next page. This means that you need to make a very compelling argument if you want to get through it.So, as you are putting together your outline for an essay sample you should ask yourself some questions. What do you really want to achieve with your essay? Are you going to impress a teacher, present your ideas in a clear way or reach your intended audience? All of these are i mportant and you should try to answer these questions before going on.Your outline should also include some ideas that you would like to discuss when you are finished with the paper. It may be interesting to read and discuss some recent papers that will help you think about what you are doing. Some of these may include the difference between a thesis and an argument.Another important thing to consider when you are doing your outline for an essay sample is the title that you will use. There are many different titles that people give when they are writing an essay. Make sure that you choose one that will serve your purposes.Of course, an outline for an essay sample should not be confused with an outline for a novel. In order to achieve a good quality paper for the exam you need to put your thoughts in a written form. Writing an outline for an essay sample may help you do this. If you make some mistakes then you can correct them and you can use this outline to make your essay more appe aling to your teachers. As you can see, writing an outline for an essay sample does not have to be a difficult task. Just as a writer needs a good topic for his/her novel, so, too, a writer needs an outline for an essay. This makes it easier for the writer to keep everything in perspective. You are not just going to be throwing words around, so, too, a writer needs to make sure that he/she is following a good outline.

Definition Essay Essay Example

Definition Essay Essay Example Definition Essay Essay Definition Essay Essay SANTELICES, Rhey Elmerson S. ENGLCOM EW2 Definition Essay Draft August 16, 2011 Death is the one thing in life we can be sure about and that is why religions have beliefs about what it means. Everything else might happen to us: we might get married, be rich, be happy, have children, open our own business or travel the world, but the only real certainty is that we will die. The major western religion Christianity has borrowed heavily from the Egyptian model of what happens after death. The idea of final judgment, physical resurrection and heaven being a garden with a river running through it, are all ideas borrowed from the Egyptians. We must also remember that mans life is in Gods Hands. Only He determines the moment of death and the destiny of every soul on separation from the flesh. For this reason, attempts to produce experiments in this field are in conflict with the Will of God and bring the experimenter into contact with the fallen spirits of that world. Christians believe fervently that there is a life after death on earth. While the actual nature of this life is not known, Christians believe that many spiritual experiences in this life help to give them some idea of what eternal life will be like. Christianity has historically taught that everyone has only a single life on earth. After death, an eternal life awaits everyone either in Heaven or Hell. There is no suffering in Heaven; only joy. Torture is eternal without any hope of cessation for the inhabitants of Hell. The overwhelming majority of mainstream Christian denominations rejects the notion of reincarnation and considers the theory to challenge basic tenets of their beliefs. In standard Christian theology, the soul is an individual entity which is totally separate from other souls and can become totally separate from God. There is one God and a plurality of souls. Every person has exactly one soul. In the Genesis version, as believed by young earth creationist theologians, humans were created on the Saturday of the first week, after God had created land, sea, stars, planets, birds, beasts, fishes, etc. , during the previous Monday to Friday. Since only humans have souls, all these features existed quite concretely in the absence of observers. In contrast, theologians who believe in evolution subscribe to the soul-injection theory, which states that There came a moment in the evolution of hominids when God intervened and injected a human soul into a previously animal lineage. All the features of the world existed in the absence of souls, in this case for many hundreds of millions of years rather than one working week. So, to the Christian, reality is totally objective and souls have no part in determining the existence of the real world. If Jesus is the only way to God, it is because the salvation of the person, body and spirit, is a hope profoundly different from all other religious hope. It gives a new dimension to salvation not found anywhere else. Spiritual life is walking after the spirit by the spirit, focused on the spirit, exercising and strengthening our spirit, substantiating things unseen. Such is the life, in Christ Jesus, the only help that could ever work, authentically, for us helpless sinners in achieving victorious life: with Christ, Christ in me, and for Christ. Resurrection means to return back in the same physical body with the same face. Rebirth is when a soul which resides in a human body returns back to another human body after the previous bodys death. Now to begin with no one knows what happens to the soul after it leaves the body, so for arguments sake, for a soul to return, it requires a body which can sustain it, which evidently is not a rotten corpse which is nothing but decayed bones, whereas a newborn or a foetus is much more apt for a soul to make it its dwelling. So from a rational point of view isnt it more appropriate for a soul to take rebirth rather than claim the old rotten body it once used to reside in. Belief in the resurrection of the dead, and Jesus Christs role as judge of the dead, is codified in the Apostles Creed, which is the fundamental creed of Christian baptismal faith. The Book of Revelation also makes many references about the Day of Judgment when the dead will be raised up. However, there are also many Christians who do not believe that individual consciousness continues after death, and a higher number who do not believe in a place or condition of eternal punishment for sins. Christians believe there is an afterlife. Christian views of the afterlife generally involve heaven and hell, with Catholicism adding an intermediate realm of purgatory. Except for purgatory, these realms are usually assumed to be eternal. Although the body dies and is buried or cremated, they believe that their unique soul lives on and is raised to new life by God. Christians believe that God is just and fair, and so cannot let evil go unpunished. Most believe in the idea of judgement after death, and that God will treat people in the afterlife according to how they lived their life on earth. Historically, Christianity has taught Heaven as a place of eternal life, in that it is a shared plane to be attained by all the elect. Roman Catholics believe that entering Purgatory after death cleanses one of sin period of suffering until ones nature is perfected, which makes one acceptable to enter heaven. This is valid for venial sin only, as mortal sins can be forgiven only through the act of reconciliation and repentance while on earth. In Protestant Christian sects, eternal life depends upon the sinner receiving Gods grace through faith in Jesus death for their sins, see atonement, his resurrection as the Christ, and accepting his Lordship authority and guidance over their lives. If the soul could satisfy the gods, the soul was straightway gathered into the fold of Osiris. But if it could not, if it was found wanting when weighed in the heavenly balances, then it was cast into a hell, to be rent to shreds of the Devouress. For only the righteous souls, only the guiltless, were thought to be deserving of life everlasting. The concept of heaven and hell in traditional Christianity heavily depends on the doctrine of the immortality of the soul. The Bible is even less specific about hell, and Christians have very different ideas about this too. Some Christians believe that hell is a place of suffering, and of separation from God. Others believe that hell is a spiritual state of being separated from God for eternity. The word Salvation signifies deliverance from actual trouble or threatening danger. Salvation is the gift of God given by a covenant with man where God acts by grace to save man from the slavery and evil effects of sin. Only in Christianity is this path of Salvation made clear by Gods covenant with man through Jesus Christ who is the sacrifice of God for the sins of the whole world. Christians believe that salvation was made possible by the sacrificial death of Christ by crucifixion. The word atonement, one of the few theological words of English origin, is used to describe this concept. The verb atone derives from the adverb at one, and therefore means to reconcile. The notion of deification is based on the perspective that when Christ was incarnate in the man Jesus, he did take on just one human nature, but all of human nature. He thus made it possible for the reverse to occur for humans to participate in the divine nature. The Son of God, as the one through whom the process of creation was fulfilled, came down from heaven into the world and became

Managing Decision Making Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Managing Decision Making - Essay Example They are also long term thinkers and like recognition for their achievement; in fact, they are considered thinkers instead of doers. Guardian decision makers apply a model of fairness, which a high consideration of preserving health and creating a balance in terms of organizational values. Guardian decision makers undertake a sound decision making process by making choices that are fact based and carefully planned (Sherman, 2013, 1). These decision makers focus on facilitating continuity through moderate caution; in fact, they gather relatively broad information (Oliver and Roos, 2005, 889). Therefore, guardian decision makers are analytical individuals since they use large volume of data, and exercises great care during the analysis; besides, they enjoy problem solving and they are motivated by challenges. Motivators are decision makers who are charismatic; in fact, they have ability to convince people regarding the need for an action. Moreover, they have ability to align different components of a company. They are considered good storytellers willing to risk their conviction about the story, despite countervailing facts (Sherman, 2013, 1). Motivators do not rely on information; in fact, they hold a strong conviction that self-interest prevails over corporate interest (Wilcox and Bourne, 2003, 806). They can be considered behavioural individuals, who are very persuasive, supportive, good communicators, with reliance on limited data for analysis. Flexible decision makers rely on ad hoc approaches instead of formal processes, and they are fairly cautious (Sherman, 2013, 1). However, they have a limitation of being very open-minded, which can

Evaluation of Games Workshop and Hornby Businesses

Evaluation of Games Workshop and Hornby Businesses In a company or a business, the owner would want to evaluate his business i.e. whether the business is making a profit or loss and would want to compare it with other companies or its competitors in the same industry. To know the performance of a company, you need to look at more than just easily attainable numbers like sales, profits and total assets. To know the real picture of a company, we must be able to read between the lines of the financial statement. Hence there are many comparative ratios to identify the strengths and weakness of the company. These ratios will help the public (outsiders) to make decisions while investing in companies at the stock market. Ratio analysis helps us to understand the risk we must be taking. The basic source of these ratios is the companys profit and loss account and balance sheet as it contains all important information about the company. Financial ratios are useful indicators of a firm or companys performance and financial situation. The two company ratios we are going to compare are Hornby and Games PLC. Both the companies belong to the same industry. GAMES WORKSHOP Europes foremost professional P.C. and video game retailer is Games group. It is the only company in the gaming sector to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. Outstanding customer service and a specialist offer are at the heart of GAMES Group growth. HORNBY PLC HORNBY PLC is UKs Model Railway manufacturer. Frank Hornby founded the company in 1901 and launched trains until it was bought by his competitor Tri-Ang in 1964. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hornby_Railways. It is recognised for the construction of its model train sets, hobby (radio controlled cars) and toy production. It is an incorporated limited company, operating in the UK. Return on Capital Employed (ROCE). Return on Capital Employed (ROCE). ROCE = ____PBIT ___(Operating Profit)___ x 100 Capital Employed (FA + CA CL) Ratio on capital employed indicated the productivity and success of a companys capital investment. According to the formula we take operating profit or PBIT and divide it by the capital employed in the business i.e. fixed asset and working capital. In the two companies, the ROCE for Games workshop in the year 2008 was 5.48%, 2009 was 17.26% which was lower compared to 27.98% in the year 2010. This indicates that Games workshops ROCE has increased which is a positive sign as the more the returns of the capital employed, its better for the firm. Whereas Hornby Plc.s ROCE in the year 2010 has decreased from17.67% which was in 2009 and 29.47% in 2008 to 12.65% which is a negative sign as the return on capital employed is lesser than the rate at which the company borrows. Return on Sales (ROS) ROS = _PBIT_ x 100 Sales ROS also known as operating profit margin tell us about the companys operational proficiency. According to the formula, we consider operating profit or PBIT and divide it by the sales in the organisation. In the above two companies Games workshops ROS was 2.31% in 2008, 7.17% in 2009 and has increased to 12.68% in 2010. This indicates that games workshop is growing more efficiently and is more profitability. Whereas in Hornby the ROS for the year2008 was 16.85%, in 2009 was 11.20% and it decreased in 2010 to 9.27%. A decreasing ROS indicates financial trouble for the company. When we compare Hornby and Games workshop together, we get to know that Games workshop has a higher ROS which indicates a profitable organisation compared to Hornby. Asset turnover Asset turnover = ___Revenue____ Capital Employed Asset turnover is the amount of sales generated for every pound that is worth the asset. We consider the revenue of the company and divide it by the capital employed. In the above companies, the asset turnover for both the companies are low but Hornby has a lower asset turnover of 1.36% in 2010 compared to Games workshop thats asset turnover is of 2.20%. This indicates that games workshop has a higher asset turnover which is better. This also indicates pricing strategies which the company undertakes as companies with a low price margin who have a higher asset turnover and vice versa. Current Ratio Current Ratio = _Current Assets_ Current Liabilities Current Ratio comes under the heading of Liquidity ratio. Liquidity means cash a business holds during the financial year. Current Ratio is a liquidity ratio which tells us the ability of the company to pay its short term obligations. Short term obligations are obligations which are under 12 months. The formula tells us that the ability to pay back short term borrowings with its short term assets. In the above case Games workshop has a higher current ratio compared to Hornby, though the difference is not that large, but still Games workshops current ratio in 2010 is 2.03% while Hornby in 2010 is 2.10%. This indicated that Games workshop is capable to pay their obligations and vice versa. If the ratio was under 1 it would indicate that the company cannot pay its obligations. Liquidity Ratio (Acid Test Ratio) Liquidity Ratio = Current Assets Stock Current Liabilities Acid test ratio is a severe or a tough ratio which indicates whether the firm has enough short term assets to cover its immediate liability without selling out stock. The acid test ratio for Games workshop in 2008 was 0.9, in 2009 was1.14 whereas it increased in 2010 to 1.48. Hornby has a low acid test ratio in 2009 which was 0.72 but it increased to 1.37 in 2010. This indicates that Games as well as Hornby, both companies can pay off their liabilities as if the acid test ratio was less than 1 then the company has to be warned. Even if the acid test ratio is lower than the working capital ratio, it shows that the company is highly dependent on inventory. Cash Ratio Cash Ratio = Cash_____ Current Liabilities Cash ratio is the companys total cash balance and the cash equivalents to its current liabilities. Cash ratio is helpful to measure the liquidity of a company. In the above case, Games workshop has a much higher cash ratio in both the years i.e. in 2009 0.57 and in 2010 it was 0.92, whereas Hornby has a very low cash ratio from 2008 which was 0.07, in 2009 it decreased to 0.02 but it increased to 0.53 in 2010. This indicates how quickly the company can pay of its creditors. Hence creditors will decide seeing the cash ratio of the company. Stock turnover Stock turnover = _COGS_ Stock Stock turnover ratio shows how many times over the business has sold the value of its stocks during the year. In the above case, Games workshop has a higher stock turnover than Hornby. This is because in the year 2008, Games workshop had 3.24 as its stock turnover, in 2009 it was 3.36 and it decreased I 2010 to 3.02 which is a negative point. Whereas Hornby has a lower stock turnover compared to Games workshop. This indicates higher the stock turnover, the better it is for the company as then money is held up for a lesser time in stocks. Stock Period Stock Period = 365____ Stock turnover Stock period is the number of days where the average money is held up in stocks. It is calculated by dividing stock turnover by 365 days. This gives the actual picture of how many days the stock is in the warehouse. In the above diagram, it shows that in the year 2008 and 2009 Games had a stock period of 113 and 109 days while Hornby had a stock period of 166 and 164 days respectively. In the year 2010 Games workshop had a stock in warehouse for 121 days while Hornby had it for 138 days. This indicates the longer the stock is in warehouse, it is bad for the business as the money is not available to be used elsewhere. Hence Hornbys stock is available for a longer period than Games workshop. Debtor Period Debtor Period = Debtors x 365 Sales Debtor period is the average number of days credit given to customers i.e. how long does it takes the company to get its money. In the above case, the debtor period for Games workshop has decreased from 33 days in 2008 to 29 in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Whereas in Hornby the debtor period has increased compared to 2008 but has decreased to 75 days compared to 2009. This indicates that a lesser number of days are good as the debtors could trust the company. But if the company takes a long time to repay, it is bad, Hence Games workshop is better than Hornby as Games workshop has lesser number of days compared to Hornby. Gearing Ratio Industry Analysis Hornby PLC The toys and games industry has survived in the UK for 70 years but in 2009, model vehicles and outdoor games had a negative growth due to the economic recession. Customers preferred indoor games and activity construction toys since it did not require them to leave their houses, during this period. The economic downturn also caused some companies in the industry to stop business and others were bought by larger companies. There has also been an increase in demand for movie based toys and video games, which are easier to produce than other toys. As such, Hasbro, Mattel and Lego are favoured for this reason. The retail outlets prefer to stock video games as a result of its increase in demand and also because it takes less shelf space. The UK market is dominated presently by Husbro, which has the largest market share, Mattel and Lego. Children often want and need toys to entertain and occupy themselves with (Competitive Context-Figure 9). Even with recession, most parents do not necessarily cut down on spending on toys for their child as they are willing to spend what little disposable income they have on their kids and buying toys that they wanted for them (MINTEL-Internal Market Environment-Figure 1). In 2007, the toys and games sector in the UK was valued at around  £2.2 billion, a significant rise of 22% than when in 2003 (MINTEL- Toys and Games-UK-Nov 2008-Market in Brief: A strong market in tougher times). Christmas is usually the cause of the highest booster for sales of toys and games, bringing in half the total number sales in a year (MINTEL-Internal Market Environment-Key Points). Games Workshop PLC In 1975, Games Workshop PLC, was established in London by John Peake, Ian Livingstone, and Steve Jackson. It was listed in the London Stock Exchange in 1994. The company has since moved its headquarters to Nottingham. Games Workshop is mainly involved in producing and retailing games and toys (miniatures). The company started off with producing board games made of wood (eg. Backgammon), moved on to importing role-playing games (RPGs) from the United States and finally to where it is today, a toy and games producer, publisher and retailer. Games Workshop is well-known in the market for its collectible miniatures (toy soldiers) used in its role-playing and table-top wargames (WIKIPEDIA). Its specialty and focus is on collectible toy models targeting toy collectors and hobbyist whose favourite pastime is collecting toy models. Games Workshop has several subsidiaries, they include: BL Publishing Publishes literature and gaming materials Citadel Miniatures Produces toy miniatures collections for collectors and hobbyist Forge World Produces higher quality models for their role-playing and table-top wargames Sabertooth Games Produces card games related to their role-playing and table-top wargames produced (Wiki: Games Workshop http://warhammeronline.wikia.com/wiki/Games_Workshop#Subsidiaries) Competitors Hasbro U.K. Limited Vivid Toy Group Limited Vivid Imaginations Limited Games Workshop Limited Hornby PLC Flair Leisure Products PLC Hornby Hobbies Limited Datel Electronics Limited Rockstar North Limited Hardy Greys Limited From FAME (https://fame.bvdep.com/version-2010823/cgi/template.dll?checkathens=1kick=1 product=1user=lingd%40coventry.ac.ukpw=D341XryjGFEL77TgmOwhnA%3d%3d) Customers Collectors Hobbyist of their miniature games collection Teenagers Young Adults Global customers Market Contribution Share In 2009, Games Workshop wanted to cut cost and initiated a move to use plastic instead of metal for the production of their toy and games miniatures. It was an apparently well-accepted change by their customers as sales rose from  £110.3m to  £113.9m in 2009. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/719b6d28-7bbb-11de-9772-00144feabdc0.html In 2009, Games Workshop opened 10 new stores in the UK which are run by a single staff, making it easier for them to expand to smaller towns and hence more accessible to their teenage fans. These additional stores will boost Games Workshops market presence. As at January 2010, Games Workshop has expanded operations overseas to Europe, North America, Japan and Australia. However, market analysts believe that the company has potential to expand to other untapped markets. In January 2010, when Games Workshop revealed that its profit before tax achieved would surpass expectations by at least 50 percent, shares increased by 30 per cent to 333.85p. Profit before tax was initially estimated to be around  £9m as at 30 May 2010 but in January 2010, it was expected to grow by another  £5m or more by May 2010. Games Workshops gross margins have increased as a result of their cost cutting measures undertaken in 2009. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/afb932a0-fade-11de-94d8-00144feab49a,s01=1.html Future Forecast Games Workshop PLC should try to be more creative and innovative, launching new products constantly over the year, in order to increase sales and spread sales more evenly over the year than garnering the majority of sales only during the Christmas season. As mentioned earlier, market analyst believe that Games Workshop has the potential and capability required to further expand overseas, probably to untapped markets, such as Asia (with the exception of Japan where they already have expanded to). Furthermore, the market for toys and games are continuously increasing and expected to carry on growing in the future (internal market environment-is childhood getting shorter?). Sales recorded for toys and games have also been rising over the years and expected to continue doing so. (Market Re-forecasts-Household-UK-March 2009-Toys and Games). In the case of Games Workshop, although there was a slight drop in sales for the company in 2007, it has since been steadily increasing over the last couple of years. This could be due to the fact that Games Workshop builds up customer loyalty by offering collectibles that interested customers can only buy from the company if they want the complete collection. The excellent after-sales service provided by the company could be another factor that enabled them to earn loyalty from their customers. This is an invaluable asset to the Games Workshop as no matter what new products they offer, most of their loyal customers will support them by purcha sing their products. As long as the company continues to successfully retain its customer loyalty, it will go a long way. It is crucial for Games Workshop to constantly update themselves on the current trends and threats faced by the toys and games industry, and act accordingly by coming up with suitable strategies to ensure that the business stays profitable and hopefully gain a larger market share.
